Our Director
My name is Rica, and I bring over seven years of experience in early childhood education as i step into my role as Director at Play Patch Early Learning. During this time, I've worked as an Assistant Educator, Lead Educator, and Early Childhood Teacher, which has shaped my understanding of the early learning community.
I’m passionate about play-based learning and believe that some of the most significant learning happens through children’s natural curiosity and interests.
I place strong importance on the learning environment. I aim to create spaces that feel welcoming and inclusive, where children feel safe to explore and develop independence.
Building genuine relationships with families and the wider community is an important part of my role. I value open, respectful communication and aim to ensure families feel informed and connected to their child’s learning.
Supporting educators is central to my approach. I aim to create a workplace where people feel valued and feel confident in what they do. I am focused on supporting and guiding educators in ways that are thoughtful and responsive. I value creating a team environment where people feel respected, supported, and able to work collaboratively.
I believe every child deserves to feel safe, capable, and included. I am grateful to be part of their early learning journey and to lead a service where children, families, and educators feel a strong sense of belonging.
